Choosing a Major: What's the Most Common College Major Among Billionaires?

Just out of curiosity, what's the most common college major among billionaires? I'm still undecided on my major and thought this could be an interesting fact to consider. Not that I'm choosing a major solely based on this, but it's still cool to know, don't you think?

Interesting question! Though a wide variety of billionaires have majored in many different subjects, according to some surveys and studies, the most common major among billionaires is actually economics.

Many billionaires studied economics because it gives a solid foundation in understanding markets, decision-making processes, and fiscal management – all crucial aspects for running a successful business or enterprise. Some notable billionaires who have studied economics include Warren Buffet and Eric Schmidt. Additionally, many graduates who study economics often move towards business or finance for their postgraduate studies, which might open further opportunities to accrue wealth.

That being said, it's not accurate nor advisable to adopt a major solely based on its popularity among billionaires. The most important thing is to choose a degree that aligns with the future you envision for yourself, one that aligns with your interests, career goals, and personal capabilities. This tends to lead to more satisfaction and success – monetary and otherwise .
