Colleges that produce the most MLS players?

Soccer's my life and the MLS is the dream. I'm starting to look at colleges. Are there any that are recognized for producing a lot of major league soccer players?

There are indeed several universities that have historically produced a significant number of Major League Soccer (MLS) talents. Here's a few select examples:

1. University of Maryland, College Park: This university has produced numerous MLS players, and they are traditionally one of the strongest men's college soccer programs in the U.S. Notable Maryland alumni in the MLS include Zack Steffen, Omar Gonzalez, and Graham Zusi.

2. University of Akron: The University of Akron has been a hotbed for MLS talent. Their Zips men's soccer program has been very successful, producing players like Darlington Nagbe, Wil Trapp, and DeAndre Yedlin.

3. Indiana University Bloomington: Indiana's men's soccer team is another major player producing MLS talents such as Eriq Zavaleta, Tommy Thompson, and Andre Blake.

4. Wake Forest University: The Demon Deacons have consistently developed professional-ready players for the MLS. Ike Opara and Jack Harrison are notable Wake Forest alumni in the league.

5. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA): UCLA has a rich history of producing MLS players including Eddie Lewis, Carlos Bocanegra, and Chad Barrett.

Before you decide, it's worth noting that aside from the school's reputation for producing MLS players, other factors that you may want to consider include the coaching staff, the school's style of play, and the academic programs available, amongst others.
