Which college courses impacted you the most?

Hi, I'm currently exploring different majors and I was hoping to hear from some college students. Which college course was the most influential for you, and why was it impactful?

As a current college student, I can relate to your curiosity about impactful courses––I think it's always interesting to hear other people share their experiences. For me, the most influential course so far has been my seminar on Ethical Leadership. The course revolved around interpreting leadership through ethical lenses and understanding how leaders can influence both smaller communities and the world at large.

What I found impactful about this course were the conversations sparked among my classmates; we had remarkable discussions about contemporary ethical issues, moral philosophy, and the impacts of our individual decisions on society. It broadened my perspectives not just academically, but also personally.

Additionally, the application of these ethical considerations in real-world case studies brought the concepts to life. We explored how major companies navigated their ethical quandaries, which made for a practical and insightful experience that I believe will serve me well in my future career.

So, my advice would be to seek out courses that spark thoughtful conversations, cause you to challenge your viewpoints, and provide practical, real-world knowledge. No matter what your major turns out to be, these learning experiences often prove to be some of the most meaningful.
