Stressed much? - Majors that are tough!

Okay, so I've heard that certain majors are super stressful and require an enormous amount of work. But which ones are they? Can anyone shed some light on which college majors have the most stress?

The level of stress experienced in a college major can vary significantly from student to student, and it's often influenced by a combination of factors including personal interest, aptitude, class rigidity, and time management skills. However, here are a few majors commonly referred to as challenging with reasons why they might be perceived as such:

1. Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Bioengineer etc.): Engineering disciplines are widely known for their high course load and rigorous course content. The subject matter can be complex and the projects/lab work can be quite time-consuming. It's also common for engineering programs to have a high number of mandatory classes, several of which may be sequential.

2. Pre-Med/Health Sciences: Students pursuing Pre-Med or Health Sciences often face stress due to the study volume and performance expectations. In addition, they often have to manage their studies alongside other requirements necessary for medical school applications, such as shadowing practitioners, gaining clinical experience, and preparing for the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test).

3. Mathematics/Physics: These majors are often associated with high levels of stress due to the complexity of the subject as well as the abstract nature of the content. Both often involve not only understanding complex theories but also applying them to problem-solving and research.

4. Architecture: Architecture courses can be stressful due to the intensive nature of the coursework, which often involves structured studio time, creating detailed designs, constructing models, and frequent presentation of work for critique.
