Which college graduates have the highest average salaries?

I've been hearing a lot about how certain colleges consistently produce graduates who earn high salaries. I'm not necessarily choosing a college just based on this, but I'd like to know: which colleges, free or otherwise, produce graduates who earn the most?

Colleges with high graduate salary averages span both major universities and more specialized technology and engineering schools. Here are a few notable colleges:

1. PayScale's 2020 report ranks Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as the top school for early career and mid-career salaries. Much of the student body majors in STEM fields which tend to command higher salaries.

2. Harvey Mudd College, a small liberal-arts-like school dedicated to engineering, science, and math, also features high on the list. Its graduates often progress into high paying fields.

3. Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley (for Engineering majors) both have high earning graduates, and both are well known for their proximity to Silicon Valley and strong ties with the tech industry.

4. Ivy League schools, such as Harvard and Princeton, tend to have high earning graduates due to a combination of strong academics and powerful alumni networks that can create significant job opportunities.

5. Other engineering-focused schools like California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Georgia Institute of Technology also produce high earning graduates.

Please note that these rankings are based on averages, and the actual salary that a graduate earns will be affected by a number of factors including their major, job location, experience level, and the specific industry and role they work in, among other things. Pursuing a field you're passionate about and excelling in it can often lead to opportunities that offer both satisfaction and financial stability.
