What to do when SAT test centers close?

Super stressed because my SAT test center just closed and I have no idea what to do. Has anyone dealt with this? How do you find a new center last minute or what are the alternatives? Any advice would be so helpful right now.

I understand that having your SAT test center close unexpectedly can be quite stressful. But don't worry, there are steps you can take! First, check the College Board website for any announcements regarding the closure and a list of alternative test centers that may still have space available. If you find an alternative center, you can change your test location through your College Board account – usually there's no fee for this if it's due to a test center closure.

If all nearby centers are full, you should call the College Board's customer service as they can sometimes make accommodations for you in situations like this. If rescheduling is the only option, look for the next available date that fits your college application timeline. Meanwhile, use this extra time to your advantage for additional studying to ensure you're fully prepared. Remember, breathe and focus on what you can control. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to your school counselor – we're here to help you navigate this situation!
