What four-year colleges are available in San Diego?

Hey, I’m looking into colleges in San Diego since I'm considering staying local after I graduate next year. I'm particularly interested in four-year programs. I've heard about UC San Diego and San Diego State, but I'm wondering what other options might be out there. Ideally, I'd like a school that offers a strong program in business or engineering, but I'm open to suggestions. If anyone's got the inside scoop on the college scene there, I’d love to hear about campus life, programs, and any other advice you might have. Thanks!

In addition to UC San Diego and San Diego State that you've already mentioned, here are a few more four-year institutions in the San Diego area:

1. University of San Diego (USD): USD offers a variety of programs and is particularly known for its strong program in business. You might want to check out their School of Business which offers undergraduate programs in various fields including accounting, finance, international business, and marketing among others.

2. Point Loma Nazarene University: A Christian liberal arts university, Point Loma offers a range of majors including engineering and business. In particular, the university's Fermanian School of Business offers degrees in various disciplines such as Business Administration, International Business, and Accountancy.

3. National University: Founded in 1971, National University is a private, nonprofit institution of higher education. Although it's a bit different in that it caters to adult learners and working professionals with its one-course-per-month format, it does offer a broad range of degree programs including Information and Computer Science, and Business and Management.

4. San Diego Christian College: This is a smaller, private, Christian university offering a limited number of majors. They have a Business Administration program, although they don't have a specific engineering program.

For each of these universities, campus life, student body demographics, and extracurricular opportunities will vary significantly, so you'll want to do some research to see what fits your preferences and needs best. Remember to consider factors like size, culture, location, facilities, and opportunities for internships or research in addition to the academic programs. Always remember to visit the campus if possible, as it gives you an entirely different perspective than what you see on paper. I hope this helps and best of luck with your college search process!
