Experiences with Buch Family Academic Scholarship?

Has anyone applied for or received the Buch Family Academic Scholarship? I'm eyeing it for next year but would love to hear about others' experiences or tips on the application process.

Hello there! My child applied for the Buch Family Academic Scholarship last year. We found out about it through the school's financial aid office. The process was quite straightforward but did require a bit of legwork, particularly when it came to gathering academic transcripts and getting recommendation letters. One tip I can offer is to start early, especially with the letters of recommendation. Teachers and counselors can get busy, especially during application season. My child reached out to teachers with whom they had a strong relationship and who were familiar with their academic and extracurricular dedication.

Another thing that proved helpful was thoroughly reviewing past academic work and achievements to create a compelling personal statement that reflected a clear educational path and professional aspirations. We also made sure the application was proofread by a couple of people to catch any potential errors. Thankfully, my child was a recipient of the scholarship, which has certainly eased the financial burden of college!
