What is the easiest STEM degree to pursue?

I'm a junior who is interested in going into a STEM field but I'm unsure which specific area to choose. Can you guys share your opinions on what the easiest STEM degree to pursue might be? I'm still interested in having a strong future career, but also want a major that allows me to participate in extracurriculars and enjoy my college experience.

It's important to remember that 'easy' is subjective and varies from person to person. What may be easy for one person might not be the case for another, so it's crucial to find a subject that genuinely interests you. That being said, certain STEM fields may have more of a work-life balance than others, which might be what you're looking for.

A popular choice for students seeking a less intense STEM major is Environmental Science. This field combines the study of different sciences, such as biology and chemistry, with environmental conservation and sustainable practices. The coursework is varied and can be less math-focused compared to other STEM majors like engineering or computer science. Additionally, Environmental Science tends to have more outdoor and hands-on learning experiences.

Another option could be a degree in Statistics or Applied Mathematics. These majors focus on using mathematical principles to understand and solve real-world problems. While they do require very strong math skills, the workload is often more manageable compared to other intensely-mathematical fields like theoretical physics.

To recap, try focusing on your interests and consider majors with a more balanced workload that still satisfy your STEM passion. Keep in mind that even 'easier' majors require dedication and hard work, so it's vital to choose something that truly interests you!
