What's the HBCU All-Star Challenge and how can I participate?

I've heard a lot about this HBCU All-Star Challenge and I'm curious—what's it all about? Is it open to high school students or is it just for college students? Would love to understand how I might get involved, either now or in the future!

The HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) All-Star Challenge is an academic competition designed to showcase the intellectual prowess of students attending HBCUs. Typically, teams of students from various HBCUs around the nation come together to answer questions on an array of topics, ranging from history and science to pop culture.

The event is directed primarily towards college students, as participants must be currently enrolled in an HBCU to be eligible. However, that doesn't mean high school students can't work towards it. If you're passionate about academic competitions and considering attending an HBCU, you can make it a goal to join your college's team once you're enrolled.

In the meantime, you can explore other academic competitions open to high school students. Competitions like Quiz Bowl or Science Bowl might be a great way to hone your skills, meet peers with similar interests, and prepare for the HBCU All-Star Challenge when you're in college. Good luck!
