Which universities offer full scholarships to international students?

I'm an international student looking for universities that provide full scholarships. Does anyone know which universities tend to be most generous with funding for international applicants?

Many universities in the United States offer generous scholarships for international students. Here are some that are known for their significant aid packages:

1. Harvard University: As part of its financial aid program, Harvard ensures that all admitted students can afford to attend regardless of their financial status. Families who earn less than $85,000 a year pay nothing towards the cost of attendance.

2. Yale University: Yale adopts a similar model to Harvard for its financial aid. They also provide grants to cover travel costs for students from low-income families.

3. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): MIT is need-blind for both U.S. and international applicants. This means that the admission decision is made regardless of the applicant's financial need. If you get in and demonstrate financial need, MIT pledges to provide the necessary aid.

4. Amherst College: Amherst offers substantial financial aid packages to international students. It's also one of the few colleges that are need-blind and meet the full demonstrated need of international students.

5. Dartmouth College: Dartmouth offers need-based scholarships to a select number of international students each year and promises to meet the demonstrated need of these students.

These are just a few examples. It's important to remember that many factors are involved in deciding who gets scholarships, such as academic merit, leadership potential, unique talents, etc. This is also in addition to financial need.

While these universities tend to be quite generous, the competition can be fierce. So, keep that in mind and always have a few more feasible options as well. Be sure to check the financial aid pages on each university's website for the most accurate and up-to-date information, as these can change from year to year.
