When do college acceptances come out?

Hey everyone, I'm applying to colleges in the fall and wondering when I should expect to receive acceptance letters. Do all colleges have a set date for releasing decisions or does it vary by institution?

Hello! College acceptances typically come out at different times depending on the institution and which application plan you're using (Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision, etc.). For Early Decision and Early Action, decisions are usually released between December and January. Schools often have specific dates or a general time frame for when they plan to release them.

For Regular Decision candidates, most decisions are sent out in the spring, typically between March and April. However, these dates can also vary by college, with some releasing decisions a little earlier or later. Many colleges announce their decision release dates on their admissions websites or via email, so it's a good idea to keep an eye out for this information as the time gets closer.

Keep in mind that along with acceptances, you might also receive waitlist or rejection letters during these periods. I hope this gives you a better idea of when to expect decisions during the application cycle. Good luck with your applications!
