Teacher recommendation letters for Ivy League schools

Hey guys! So I'm aiming for some Ivy League schools and I know that teacher recommendation letters can make a difference. Any advice on which teachers to ask and how I can make sure they write strong letters?

It's essential to choose teachers who know you well and can speak to your strengths, both academically and as a person. Ideally, you'll want to ask teachers from core classes, like English, math, science, or history, who have taught you recently, preferably in junior or senior year. Select teachers who have observed your growth and can share specific examples of your achievements, work ethic, and character.

To ensure they write strong letters, make yourself available for a conversation with each teacher about your goals, which schools you're applying to, and any important aspects of your application they should highlight. You can also provide them with a document outlining your achievements in their class, your extracurriculars, and other notable accomplishments.

It's important to be considerate and respectful of their time. Ask them well in advance of the deadline (at least 3-4 weeks) and follow up with a gentle reminder if needed. Don't forget to express your gratitude and send them a thank-you note after they submit your letter. Their support is a valuable part of your application process.
