Converting a 990 PSAT to SAT

Hey guys, I got a 990 on my PSAT, and I'm wondering how it might translate to an actual SAT score. How does the PSAT to SAT conversion work? Can you share any resources to help me with that?

Hi there! First off, congrats on completing your PSAT! Converting your PSAT score to an SAT score is not a direct 1-to-1 conversion, but it can give you a rough estimate of how you might perform on the SAT. Typically, the SAT scores tend to be slightly higher than the PSAT scores. For example, a 990 on the PSAT might translate roughly to around 1010-1030 on the SAT.

To get a better understanding of your potential SAT score, I recommend using this table on CollegeVine: https://blog.collegevine.com/psat-to-sat-score-conversion-predict-your-score

Keep in mind that the higher SAT score range you aim for, the more you'll need to prepare. If you're looking to improve your SAT score from your PSAT score, consider taking advantage of SAT prep resources, like the free resources provided by Khan Academy, CollegeVine, or even consider investing in a test preparation program or tutor if necessary.

Remember, practice is key. I suggest taking several practice tests and working on areas where you need improvement to increase your chances of performing well on the SAT. Good luck!
