Canceling ACT and getting a refund?

Hey guys, I signed up for the ACT, but unfortunately, I can't make it on the test day. Can you guys let me know if it's possible to cancel my registration and get a refund? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Hi there! Sorry to hear that you won't be able to make it to the test day. It is possible to cancel your ACT registration and request a refund; however, you might not get a full refund. You will have to take care of the following steps to cancel your registration and request a refund:

1. Log in to your ACT account: Visit the ACT website and sign in to your account. This is where you'll manage the details of your registration.

2. Cancel your registration: Once logged in, navigate to the "My ACT" dashboard and find the test you want to cancel. Click "Cancel" and confirm your decision when prompted.

Keep in mind that the ACT has a cancellation policy in place. If you cancel your registration by the deadline, which is usually a few weeks before the test, you can expect a partial refund. Currently, you will receive a refund of $10 for the basic test fee or $5 for the additional Writing portion, while you forfeit the rest of the fee you paid.

If the cancellation deadline has passed, you won't be able to get a refund, but you can still change your test date for a fee by following the "Change Test Date" or "Change Test Center" options in your account. These changes typically must be made before the late registration deadline for your desired test date.

For specific details about deadlines and the exact amount you may receive as a refund, make sure to review the information on the ACT website or in your account. Good luck!
