How to effectively convert my 1060-1070 PSAT score to an SAT score?

My PSAT score is in the range of 1060-1070 and I'm curious about how well I might do on the actual SAT. Is there any tool or formula available to help me predict what my SAT score might be? Or could anybody share their experience converting their PSAT score to their SAT score?

The conversion from PSAT to SAT scores isn't exactly 1-to-1, but it's relatively close. Keep in mind that the PSAT is scored on a scale of 320-1520, while the SAT is scored on a scale of 400-1600. Since the PSAT has a maximum score of 1520, it's slightly easier than the SAT, meaning that your SAT score might be a bit higher than your PSAT score.

In your case, with a PSAT score in the range of 1060-1070, your estimated SAT score could be in the ballpark of 1190. Keep in mind that this is just an approximation and that individual results may vary. There's no foolproof way to predict your SAT score based solely on your PSAT score, as factors like test prep, familiarity with the test format, and test day conditions can all impact your results. Nevertheless, your PSAT score gives you a good starting point for understanding your current performance level and guides you in identifying areas where you need to improve.

Hence, it's important to focus on understanding your strengths and weaknesses by analyzing your PSAT results, and then work on improving your skills through targeted test prep, practice tests, and relevant resources like CollegeVine. Good luck preparing for your SAT!
