APES test length?

Hey everyone, I'm planning on taking the AP Environmental Science exam this year. Does anyone know how long the test is? Also, is there anything I should specifically be prepared for in terms of question types or content?

The AP Environmental Science (APES) exam is typically 3 hours long. It consists of two main components: multiple-choice questions and free-response questions.

1. Multiple-Choice Section: This section constitutes 60% of your total exam score. It includes 80 questions, which cover various topics from the course, and you'll have 90 minutes to complete this section.

2. Free-Response Section: This section makes up the remaining 40% of your total exam score. You will have 70 minutes to complete three free-response questions. These questions usually include one data-set question, one document-based question, and one synthesis and evaluation question.

In terms of content, the APES exam covers a wide range of topics, such as Earth Systems and Resources, The Living World, Population, Land and Water Use, Energy Resources and Consumption, Pollution, and Global Change. Make sure you've reviewed these topics thoroughly and understand key concepts and processes.

For question types, it's crucial to practice answering multiple-choice questions. For the free-response section, focus on your ability to analyze data sets and documents, and synthesize information to formulate coherent responses. Additionally, practice time management in order to complete all sections within the allocated time.

To prepare, consider taking practice exams and reviewing the scoring guidelines for past APES exams to get a better understanding of the expectations for both multiple-choice and free-response questions. Good luck!
