Looking for an Engineering camp for High School Students

Hi everyone! I'm currently a high school junior interested in engineering. I've been looking for an engineering camp to attend during this summer. Can anyone recommend any great programs or camps for high school students? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there! It's exciting to see that you're interested in engineering and looking to explore it further through a summer camp. There are many programs and camps available for high school students with a passion for engineering. Here are a few well-regarded options you might consider:

1. MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute (BWSI): This program offers a variety of engineering courses, such as autonomous systems, cybersecurity, and remote sensing. It's designed for high school juniors and is free of cost for accepted students.

2. Engineering Summer Academy at Penn (ESAP): Held at the University of Pennsylvania, ESAP offers a range of courses, including biotechnology, computer graphics, nanotechnology, and robotics. This three-week program is a pre-college academic experience designed for high school students.

3. Carnegie Mellon's Summer Academy for Mathematics and Science (SAMS): This is a rigorous six-week residential program designed primarily for underrepresented students who are entering their senior year of high school. Participants can choose from several tracks related to engineering, including mechanical, electrical, and civil.

4. Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation: This four-to-five week program provides an opportunity to explore engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Courses include introduction to engineering, environmental engineering, and biomedical engineering, among others.

5. NASA High School Aerospace Scholars (HAS): This is a unique opportunity for high school juniors who are interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to participate in an interactive, online learning experience followed by an on-site visit at a NASA facility.

When selecting a program, consider factors such as location, cost, duration, and level of rigor to ensure that the camp meets your specific needs and interests. Make sure to look at the application process for each program, as some may have deadlines coming up soon. Good luck, and I hope you find a fantastic engineering camp to attend this summer!
