Harvard without an interview?

I applied to Harvard, but I wasn't offered an interview. Is there still a chance that I can get in even without one? Will not having an interview seriously hurt my chances?

Firstly, don't worry too much if you haven't received an interview offer from Harvard; it doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be accepted. Interviews are often dependent on alumni availability, and in some areas, there might not be enough interviewers to match with all applicants.

To put things into perspective, not having an interview would indeed make your application process slightly more difficult, as it's one less opportunity for Harvard to know you on a personal level. However, your interview—or lack of one—is just one aspect of your overall application, which includes grades, test scores, essays, extracurriculars, and teacher recommendations.

Keep in mind that Harvard uses a holistic admissions process to review applications, meaning they consider all aspects of your application to make a well-informed decision. Although an interview can be helpful in providing additional context and insights about you, it won't single-handedly make or break your application.

At this point, focus on other parts of your college application journey and don't let this hiccup discourage you. There are still many other factors that Harvard will consider in their decision process. Stay positive and good luck with the rest of your applications!
