Removing schools from CSS Profile?

Hey y'all! I've accidentally added a school to my CSS Profile that I'm not applying to and I can't figure out how to remove it from the list. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this?

Hey there! It's not uncommon for students to accidentally add a school to their CSS Profile. Unfortunately, the College Board doesn't have a direct option to remove a school from your CSS Profile once it has been submitted. However, you can still follow these steps to handle the situation properly:

1. Contact the school you accidentally added, preferably through their financial aid office's email or phone number. Briefly explain that you mistakenly included them in your CSS Profile submission and kindly request them not to review the application. Make sure to provide your full name and any relevant identification information so they can locate your profile easily.

2. Don't send any additional materials, such as documents, transcripts, or recommendation letters, to the school you're not applying to. This helps avoid any confusion and unnecessary work for the admissions office.

3. Double-check your application materials and list of intended schools to ensure there are no other mistakes. Taking a moment to double-check can save you time and energy in the long run.

Please remember that you'll likely still be charged the CSS Profile fee for the extra school, but contacting the financial aid office should prevent any further confusion. Good luck with the rest of your application process!
