PSAT 10 to SAT conversion?

Hey everyone, I just got my PSAT 10 score and I'm curious about how it converts to the actual SAT score. Does anyone know the conversion method or a reliable resource to find out the relevant information? Thanks in advance!

Hey! Congrats on taking the PSAT 10! While there isn't a direct 1-to-1 conversion between PSAT 10 and SAT scores, you can still get a rough estimate of what your SAT score might be by adding 30 points to your PSAT 10 score. For example, if you got a score of 1120 on the PSAT 10, that would be approximately equivalent to a score of 1150 on the SAT.

It's crucial to remember that this is just an estimate and your actual SAT score may vary depending on various factors such as the test difficulty and your performance on the test day. To get a more accurate SAT score prediction, it's a good idea to practice using official SAT practice tests and timing yourself as you would on the real test day. This can give you a better sense of how you might perform on the actual SAT.

Also, your performance on the SAT is likely to improve as you progress through high school and gain more knowledge in the subjects being tested. So, don't get too fixated on the predicted score right now, as there's plenty of time for you to improve! Good luck with your future SAT prep!
