Outlier.org Accreditation Status?

Hi everyone, I came across Outlier.org when looking for online college courses. Does anyone know if Outlier is accredited by any major institutions, and would the credits transfer if I enroll in their courses? Thanks for any insight!

Hey there! Outlier.org offers online college courses designed by subject matter experts from top universities, with the aim of providing high-quality educational experiences. While Outlier itself is not a degree-granting institution and does not possess direct accreditation, their courses are accredited through partnerships with accredited colleges and universities. For example, Outlier’s Calculus I and Introduction to Psychology courses have been developed in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh. Upon successful completion of these courses, students can earn transferable college credits from the University of Pittsburgh, which is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Before enrolling in any course at Outlier.org, it's a good idea to check with the institution you plan to transfer the credits to, just to be sure they will be accepted. Every college or university has its own policies regarding transfer credits, so it's essential to verify how the credits will be counted toward your degree program. In general, the fact that the credits you earn come from a reputable, regionally accredited institution like the University of Pittsburgh should increase the chances of them being accepted by other institutions.

Remember to keep in mind that Outlier may form additional partnerships in the future, so it's always a good idea to check their website or get in touch with their support team for the most up-to-date information on accreditation and course offerings. Good luck!
