Bucknell vs Richmond: Which school should I choose?

I've been admitted to both Bucknell and Richmond and I'm having a hard time deciding which school to commit to. Could anyone share their experiences or thoughts on these schools in terms of academics, social life, and overall campus vibe?

Congratulations on your acceptances! Starting with academics, Bucknell University tends to lean towards engineering, management, and the natural sciences, while the University of Richmond is well-known for its business and liberal arts programs. Depending on your major or area of interest, this might be something to consider.

In terms of social life, Bucknell has an active Greek life scene, which accounts for a significant portion of their social events. If you enjoy that kind of atmosphere, Bucknell would be a great choice. On the other hand, Richmond also has Greek life, but it is not as dominant. There are plenty of other clubs and activities to participate in as well. At both schools, you'll find plenty of opportunities to get involved and make friends.

Regarding campus vibes, both schools have beautiful campuses. Bucknell, which is located in central PA, has a stunning rural campus with plenty of green space, modern facilities, and access to outdoor activities. In contrast, Richmond's campus, though also surrounded by greenery, is closer to the city, providing you with both a suburban feel and the opportunity to explore the nearby urban area. It might be helpful to visit both campuses if possible, as getting a feel for the environment can be an essential factor in your decision.

In summary, Bucknell and Richmond are both excellent institutions known for their strong academics and vibrant campus lives. Your decision should be based on the factors that matter most to you, such as academic focus, location, and the campus atmosphere you prefer. Good luck in your decision-making process and congratulations once again!
