Hey guys, I've heard a lot about UC Berkeley and some people seem to think it's an Ivy League school. Is this true or is it just a common misconception? Thanks in advance for clearing this up for me!
Hello! UC Berkeley is not an Ivy League school. There are only eight Ivy League schools: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale. However, UC Berkeley is considered a prestigious institution with rigorous academics, and it's often compared to Ivy League universities because of its high academic reputation. In fact, it's ranked among the top public universities in the US. So while it's not an Ivy League school by definition, it's still highly regarded in its own right!
