What are some strategies to finance college education?

Hi everyone, I am a junior in high school and starting to think seriously about college. One of the things that's making me anxious is the cost. I've done some research and I know there are things like financial aid, scholarships, grants, and work-study, but it still seems like a lot. Do you have any advice or strategies on how to approach this? I would really appreciate any guidance! Thank you.

Hello, first of all, kudos for starting early on your college financial planning. It's a smart move! You've already mentioned some popular options like financial aid, scholarships, grants, and work-study; these are indeed great ways to fund your education. One thing I would recommend is to start applying for scholarships as early as possible. There are many scholarships out there, some of which go unclaimed. Don't skip the small ones either, they can add up! Also, consider looking into colleges with strong financial aid programs. Some institutions offer 'need-blind' admissions and meet '100% demonstrated need' which can significantly reduce costs. Remember, every bit helps!
