Correct heading format for college essays?

So, I'm putting the finishing touches on my college essays, and I just realized I'm not sure about the proper heading format. How should I set that up? Do I need my full name, date, and school info on every page? Any advice would be super helpful!

While the Common App and other online application platforms typically don't require specific heading formats for essays, it's good to be prepared just in case. If you're submitting your essay as an attachment or in a separate document, here's a general format that you can use:

In the top left corner of the page, include the following information on separate lines:

1. Your full name

2. Your high school name

3. The essay prompt or title (if applicable)

You don't need to include the date on your essay. Moreover, it's a good idea to add a page number and your last name in the top right corner of any additional pages if your essay is more than one page long. Make sure to use a legible font (like Times New Roman or Arial) and set the font size to 12 points. Ensure that the text is double-spaced, and use 1-inch margins on all sides of the page.

That said, each college may have its own specific formatting preferences, so it's best to check their website or reach out to the admissions office directly to confirm. Good luck with your essay submissions!
