Can I apply to more than one college Early Action?

Hi there! I'm a junior and I'm considering applying to a few colleges through their Early Action programs. Is it possible to apply to more than one college this way, or am I limited to just one? Thanks for your help!

Hello! It's great that you're thinking ahead about the college application process. Early Action (EA) programs can be a good way to get your applications in early and potentially receive decisions sooner. To answer your question, yes, you can apply to more than one college through their Early Action programs, as long as they are non-restrictive. Most EA programs are non-restrictive, meaning you're not limited to applying early to just one school and you're not obligated to attend if accepted. However, it's important to be aware of a variation called Restrictive Early Action (REA), sometimes also called Single Choice Early Action (SCEA). With REA, you can still apply to other schools through regular decision or non-restrictive EA, but you can't apply to another private college/university through their early decision or restrictive early action programs. So, as long as you pay attention to the specific rules and guidelines set by each school's EA program, you should be able to apply to multiple colleges early. Best of luck with your applications!
