Georgia Tech Class of 2027 Profile?

I'm a junior and I've been looking closely at Georgia Tech as one of my top choices for college. I was wondering if anyone knows what the typical profile for admitted students looks like? Like average test scores, GPA, and ECs? Appreciate any help!

Georgia Tech is a highly competitive engineering and technology-oriented school. While the admissions process is holistic and they consider many factors, here are the approximate academic averages for their admitted students in recent years.

GPA: The average weighted high school GPAs is about 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.

Test Scores: Georgia Tech is currently test-optional due to ongoing disruptions caused by the pandemic; however, the middle 50% for the SAT is 1370-1530 and the middle 50% for the ACT is 31-35.

It's also important to look at the coursework you've taken in high school. Tech values students who have taken rigorous courses, such as AP, IB, and dual enrollment classes.

Extracurriculars: Georgia Tech is looking for students who demonstrate significant involvement in their chosen areas of interest or demonstrated leadership. Successful applicants generally have a highly-developed specialty ("spike") or a deep involvement in an extracurricular area, such as robotics, research, programming competitions, or other STEM-related activities. As mentioned before, colleges look at various "tiers" of extracurricular activities, and Tech favors Tier 1 and Tier 2 activities for STEM-related interests. However, non-STEM involvement is also valued as long as it demonstrates your leadership and impact in a meaningful way.

Keep in mind that these numbers represent the averages and not strict cut-offs. Your admissions decision will be based on your entire application. Apart from academics and extracurriculars, make sure you write strong essays and have solid recommendation letters to strengthen your application.
