Should I apply early action or regular decision?

Hi there! I'm a bit stressed about deciding whether to apply early action or regular decision to my top choice school. I've heard that applying early can increase your chances, but I'm worried that I won't have enough time to polish my application. What do you guys think about the pros and cons of each option? Thanks in advance!

Hey! I totally understand your concern as my child went through the same dilemma a couple of years ago. It's true that applying early action can increase your chances, as the acceptance rates are often higher compared to regular decision. It also allows you to know the decision earlier, which can help reduce stress. However, if you feel you need more time to polish your application or improve your grades/test scores, it might be better to apply regular decision. This gives you more time to work on your essays, request strong recommendation letters, and gather additional accomplishments. Ultimately, it depends on your personal situation and how ready you feel. If you're confident in your application and believe it's a strong representation of your achievements, then early action could be a good choice. If not, give yourself more time and aim for regular decision. Good luck!
