How much GPA is good?

A little stressed here. I've been working on maintaining a solid GPA, but I don't know what's considered 'good' for competitive colleges. What's a good range to shoot for if I want to apply to top-tier schools?

When aiming for top-tier schools, it's essential to have a strong GPA since these colleges tend to attract high-achieving students. Generally speaking, a competitive GPA for top-tier schools falls within the range of 3.7 to 4.0 on a weighted 4.0 scale (or 3.9 to 4.0 for an unweighted scale). However, it's crucial to remember that having a good GPA isn't the only factor in the admissions process. This means that taking challenging classes and performing well in them is essential to demonstrate your readiness for a rigorous college curriculum.
