Can I apply to college without declaring a major?

Hey guys! I'm a junior, and I'm not quite sure what I want to study in college yet. Is it possible to apply to college without declaring a major, or will it hurt my chances of getting in? I'm worried that not knowing what I want to study will make me seem indecisive. Thanks for your help!

Hey there! It's totally understandable to feel unsure about what you want to study in college at this stage. The good news is that at many colleges, you can apply as an undeclared or undecided major. This gives you some time to explore different subjects and find what truly interests you before committing to a specific major. In fact, a lot of students end up changing their majors at least once during their college years. That being said, some schools might encourage or even require you to select a major when applying, but this varies from college to college. Do some research on the colleges you're interested in and see what their policies are regarding undeclared majors. In any case, not knowing your major right now doesn't necessarily make you seem indecisive – it's completely normal! Just focus on showcasing your strengths, interests, and potential to learn and grow throughout the application process.
