University of Miami and demonstrated interest?

I'm applying to the University of Miami, and I was wondering if they track demonstrated interest in their admissions process? Should I attend virtual info sessions, or is it not a big deal?

The University of Miami does not take demonstrated interest into account during the admissions process. However, the Admission Committee reserves the right to consider demonstrated engagement when evaluating applicants who have been deferred from Early Action to Regular Decision and applicants who have been waitlisted following the Regular Decision process.

Having said that, attending virtual info sessions or visiting campus (if possible) can be helpful ways to display your interest anyway. Additionally, consider engaging with the admissions officers through email and attending any local college fairs where the University of Miami may have a presence. If the school offers virtual information workshops or webinars, join these sessions to learn more about campus life, academic programs, and resources.

In summary, demonstrating interest is not explicitly considered, but it can be beneficial for your application. Engage with the school through various channels, including virtual info sessions, workshops, and campus visits if possible. Finally, showcase your interest in your application essays by providing specific reasons why the University of Miami is the right fit for you.
