Hi everyone, I was just wondering what the requirements are to become an AP Scholar with Distinction. How many AP courses do I need to take and what should be my average score on the exams? Thanks for the help!
Hi there! To become an AP Scholar with Distinction, you need to meet the following requirements:
1. Take at least five AP exams.
2. Achieve an average score of at least 3.5 on all the AP exams you've taken.
3. Score a 3 or higher on each of the five or more exams.
These criteria are set by the College Board, and earning the AP Scholar with Distinction recognition highlights your hard work and commitment to academic excellence. However, while it's a noteworthy achievement, having this designation won't necessarily make or break your college admissions chances. What's more important are the AP courses you take, your overall GPA, your extracurricular involvement, your essays, and so on.
That being said, an extra feather in your cap is of course never a bad thing to have! Good luck and continue striving for success in your AP courses and exams!
