MIT and Demonstrated Interest?

Hi everyone! This might be a common question, but does MIT track demonstrated interest or not? I've been researching a lot about the school but I can't seem to find a clear answer. Thanks for your help!

MIT does not use demonstrated interest as a factor in their admissions process. Demonstrated interest is the extent to which applicants display genuine enthusiasm and interest in attending a particular school, often through campus visits, attending college fairs, reaching out to representatives, and other similar activities.

While demonstrated interest may be considered by some schools in their holistic admissions process, MIT is more focused on academic and extracurricular achievements, the personal qualities of the applicant, and how well the applicant's goals align with MIT's mission and values. Instead of putting effort into demonstrating interest in MIT specifically, it's more important to focus on building a strong application with competitive grades, test scores (if submitting), and extracurricular involvement, as well as crafting a compelling personal essay that showcases who you are and what you'll bring to MIT.

So, don't worry too much about demonstrating interest for MIT admissions. It's more important to focus on other aspects of your application that showcase your strengths and achievements. Good luck!
