Hi guys! A little confused about the SAT requirements for UGA. Does the University of Georgia require the SAT for this coming application cycle, or have they gone test-optional? Any insights would be helpful, thanks!
Hey there! The University of Georgia (UGA) was briefly test-optional due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but has gone back to requiring standardized tests. While you can submit either the SAT or ACT, you are required to submit your scores from one of those two tests as part of your applicant profile.
If you're applying to other flagship state schools in the south, you should be aware that many of them have also gone back to requiring standardized tests. You can find a complete list of such schools, in the south and all across the country, on CollegeVine's blog: https://blog.collegevine.com/colleges-requiring-sat-act/.
Good luck with your application to UGA!
