UVA Early Decision Acceptance Rate?

I'm a little bit stressed rn because I'm considering applying early decision to UVA, but I can't seem to find their ED acceptance rate. Does anyone know what it is or how it compares to their regular decision rate? Really appreciate any info you can share!

Applying early decision (ED) to colleges can definitely be a great strategy for demonstrating your interest in a particular school. In the 2022-23 admissions cycle, UVA has an Early Decision acceptance rate of 24.5%, which is significantly higher than that cycle's Early Action acceptance rate of 16.7% and overall acceptance rate of 16.3%.

While ED can increase your chances of acceptance, keep in mind that the ED applicant pool can be more competitive, as students applying under this option typically have stronger profiles. So, while the acceptance rate might be higher for ED applicants, it doesn't guarantee admission if your overall profile doesn't stand out from the competitive pool.

When deciding to apply ED, consider your level of commitment to UVA, and ensure that it is your top choice school. Since ED is a binding agreement, you need to be sure that you truly want to attend, and you should also check if the financial aid package will meet your needs, since you won't have the ability to compare offers from other schools.

Good luck with your application, and remember that applying ED can be beneficial if you're set on attending UVA and your profile aligns well with their expectations!
