Can I submit an arts supplement if I'm not majoring in the arts?

Hi everyone! I've been involved in music throughout high school, and I'm considering submitting an arts supplement with my college applications. However, I'm not planning on majoring in music. Is it still worth submitting an arts supplement, or should I focus on other aspects of my application? Thanks for any advice!

Hey there! It's great to hear that you've been involved in music throughout high school. An arts supplement can indeed be a valuable addition to your college application, even if you're not planning on majoring in music. Colleges are often interested in well-rounded applicants who have a variety of interests and skills, so showcasing your musical talents can be a plus in that regard. Additionally, you never know if the admissions officer reviewing your application has a background in or appreciation for music, which might make your application stand out even more. That being said, it's important not to neglect other aspects of your application, such as your grades, test scores, essays, and extracurricular activities. Ultimately, it's up to you whether you feel that submitting an arts supplement would enhance your application and showcase a unique aspect of your personality or interests. But from what you've shared, it sounds like it could be a worthwhile addition. Best of luck with your college applications!
