Hi there! It's great that you're passionate about environmental science. California has several colleges with strong environmental science programs, and I'd be happy to share a few with you.

1. Stanford University: Stanford has an excellent Environmental Science and Engineering program within the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences. They offer interdisciplinary and hands-on learning opportunities, and you'll be taught by leading experts in the field.

2. University of California, Berkeley: Cal's Environmental Sciences program is known for its interdisciplinary approach and research opportunities. They offer courses in ecology, environmental policy, and resource management.

3. University of California, Davis: UC Davis has a strong Environmental Science and Management major, as well as a Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning program. They offer a diverse range of courses and access to renowned faculty, research centers, and internships.

4. University of California, Los Angeles: UCLA's Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES) offers an Environmental Science major that has a strong focus on interdisciplinary study. Students benefit from numerous opportunities to engage in projects and research within the field.

5. Pomona College: Pomona College, a liberal arts college within the Claremont Colleges consortium, has strong undergraduate programs in Environmental Analysis and Environmental Science. They emphasize experiential learning, research opportunities, and connections to environmental organizations.

6. California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo: Cal Poly SLO's College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences offers various environmental science-related majors, including Environmental Management & Protection and Environmental Earth & Soil Sciences. Cal Poly is known for its hands-on learning, focus on sustainability issues, and relevant, project-based coursework.

7. University of California, Santa Barbara: UCSB has strong undergraduate Environmental Studies and Geographical Sciences programs. At the graduate level, the school also offers the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, which has interdisciplinary programs for both Policy and Applied Ecology. Although you won't be able to study at Bren as an undergraduate, you may still be able to access some of its resources if you're willing to be proactive.

These are just a few examples of the many strong environmental science programs available in California. Be sure to research each school to get a better understanding of their specific program offerings, campus culture, and other factors that will impact your college decision. Make sure the school you end up choosing is a place where you'll be able to thrive personally as well as academically. Good luck!
