When are most college app deadlines?

Hi everyone! I'm currently a junior, and I'm stressing out about college applications a bit. When are most of these applications due? Is there a standard deadline for the majority of colleges or do they vary greatly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there! It's understandable to feel a bit stressed about college application deadlines. They do vary from college to college, but there tends to be some consistency for certain types of applications. Here are some general guidelines:

1. Early Decision (ED) / Early Action (EA): These deadlines usually fall between November 1st and November 15th for most colleges. Keep in mind that Early Decision is binding (you must attend if accepted), while Early Action is non-binding and allows you more time to decide.

2. Regular Decision (RD): The most common deadline for regular decision applications is around January 1st or January 15th. However, some colleges may have deadlines in December, while others might go as late as February 1st.

3. Rolling Admissions: Some colleges have rolling admissions, which means they will continue to accept applications throughout the year until they fill all available spots in their incoming class.

It's important to research the specific colleges you're interested in applying to as their deadlines might differ. Most colleges have their application deadlines listed on their websites, so take the time to find and note those dates early on. It's better to plan ahead and stay organized to avoid last-minute stress.

Remember, there are also supplementary materials (such as letters of recommendation and transcripts) that might have different deadlines, so be sure to check those as well.

Good luck with your college applications, and don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it!
