How do I research colleges when I can't visit in person?

Hello! I'm a high school junior, and I've been trying to research colleges. Unfortunately, I can't visit all the colleges I'm interested in due to distance or other factors. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get a feel for a college without visiting in person? Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I understand that visiting colleges in person can be challenging, especially with the current situation. But don't worry, there are still plenty of ways to research and get a feel for colleges without stepping foot on campus! First, I'd recommend taking advantage of virtual tours. Many colleges have online resources, such as interactive campus maps, 360-degree videos, and virtual information sessions that can give you a good sense of the campus layout and facilities. Additionally, you can check out websites like YouVisit or CampusReel for virtual tours and student-made videos. Another great way to learn about a college is to connect with current students and alumni. You can reach out to them through social media, or through your high school's college counseling office if they have connections. Don't be shy to ask questions about their experiences and what they like or dislike about the college. Lastly, consider attending college fairs or online events where you can speak with college representatives and gather more information. You can also join online forums or Facebook groups dedicated to specific colleges to gain insights from other prospective students. Good luck with your college search, and I'm sure you'll find the right fit for you!
