College regular decision release dates

I'm waiting to hear back from my top-choice colleges and am feeling pretty anxious. Does anyone know when regular decision release dates typically are? Does it vary for each school, or is it around the same time for most? Thanks!

It's completely normal to feel anxious while waiting for college decisions! Regular decision release dates can vary by school, but most colleges release their decisions between mid-March and April 1st. Some schools have specific release dates, whereas others have a more flexible window during which they notify applicants.

To stay informed about the exact release dates for the schools you've applied to, you can do the following:

1. Check the college's admissions website: Many schools post their regular decision release dates on their admissions websites or blogs. Keep in mind that this information may not be available until a few weeks before decisions are released.

2. Follow the college's social media accounts: Some colleges announce the release dates on their official Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram accounts. Following these accounts can also provide useful updates and information about the admissions process.

3. Keep an eye on your email inbox: Colleges will often send emails to applicants with updates about the release dates, so be sure to check your inbox regularly.

4. Online forums and communities: You can find information by participating in online forums (like College Confidential or Reddit) and staying informed through discussions among applicants who are waiting for decisions. Be aware, though, that anecdotal information isn't always reliable.

Remember that even though there is a general timeframe for regular decision releases, the exact dates will vary for each college. Patience is key during this waiting period, and it's a good time to focus on other things (like schoolwork, extracurriculars, or hobbies) while you wait for the news. Best of luck!
