How to convert a 1020 SAT score to ACT equivalent?

I just received my SAT score, and it's a 1020. I'm thinking about taking the ACT as well. What is the equivalent score on the ACT to my SAT score? Are there any good resources or charts you guys would recommend for more accurate conversions?

Your SAT score of 1020 can be roughly converted to an equivalent ACT score using concordance tables provided by the testing organizations. Based on these tables, a 1020 SAT score is approximately equivalent to an ACT score of around 19.

Keep in mind that this conversion is not an exact science, as the two tests have different structures, content, and scoring scales. Some students might find themselves performing better on one test over the other due to these differences. Therefore, it's important to research the specifics of both exams and consider taking practice tests for each to determine which test better aligns with your strengths and where you feel more comfortable.

The College Board (the organization behind the SAT) and ACT.org both provide official concordance tables, which can be found by doing a simple online search for "SAT ACT concordance tables." These tables will give you the most accurate conversions between the two tests. Remember, it's always a good idea to double-check these resources for the most up-to-date information. Good luck with your testing journey!
