Best lacrosse colleges?

I'm an aspiring college athlete (lacrosse) and I want to start looking at colleges that have great lacrosse programs. Can anyone suggest some top schools for lacrosse? I'm open to both D1 and D3 programs! Appreciate any input.

There are numerous colleges with strong lacrosse programs, both in Division 1 and Division 3. I'll give you a list of top schools in each division, but remember, it's essential to consider not just the athletic program but also factors like academics and campus culture to find a school that's the right fit for you.

Division 1:

1. Syracuse University: A perennial powerhouse in men's lacrosse, Syracuse has a storied program with numerous national championships.

2. Duke University: With multiple national championships in the past decade, Duke also offers strong academics.

3. University of Maryland, College Park: Historically strong, both on the men's and women's side, Maryland consistently fields competitive teams.

4. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill: Both the men's and women's teams have shown dominance on the national stage.

5. University of Virginia: UVA has been successful in recent years and is another top choice for academics as well.

Division 3:

1. Salisbury University: A consistent contender for national championships, located in Maryland.

2. RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology): RIT's lacrosse program has grown in recent years, and the school is also well-known for its STEM programs.

3. Amherst College: A liberal arts college in Massachusetts, Amherst's lacrosse program is consistently competitive in Division 3.

4. Tufts University: Based outside of Boston, Tufts has had a strong track record in Division 3 and offers excellent academics.

5. Denison University: A great lacrosse program in a small liberal arts college setting, located in Ohio.

These are just a few examples of strong lacrosse programs in each division. If you're passionate about lacrosse and dedicated to playing in college, take the time to research each school's coaching staff, playing style, and program culture to find the best fit for you both on and off the field. Good luck!
