Where is Notre Dame located?

Hey everyone! I've been considering applying to the University of Notre Dame, but I'm not exactly sure where it's located. Can someone tell me in which state it's situated and what the surrounding area is like?

Notre Dame is located in the state of Indiana, specifically in Notre Dame, IN, which is right next to the city of South Bend. South Bend is a mid-sized city with a population of about 100,000 people. The surrounding area has a mix of urban, suburban, and rural elements, and thus offers a variety of experiences for students. South Bend provides dining, shopping, and cultural opportunities, and there are some beautiful natural areas nearby, including parks and the St. Joseph River, which make for great spots to relax, study, or explore outdoors.

Keep in mind that the climate in Indiana has four distinct seasons, so you'll get to experience a range of weather conditions, from snowy winters to warm and sunny summers. Throughout the year, it’s a beautiful campus with a strong sense of community, so if you're considering applying, it's a great idea to visit if possible, so you can get a feel for the environment and the unique atmosphere Notre Dame offers.
