Average starting salaries for Georgia Tech graduates by major?

Hey guys! I'm thinking about applying to Georgia Tech and I'm curious about the average starting salaries for graduates broken down by major. Does anybody have any data on this or know where I might be able to find it? I'm particularly interested in Engineering and Computer Science majors. Thanks in advance!

Hello! Georgia Tech provides a helpful resource called the Georgia Tech Career and Salary Survey which collects data on graduates' starting salaries, job placements, and internship/co-op experiences. This report is compiled by the Georgia Tech Center for Career Discovery and Development and is published annually. You can find the most recent report on their website by searching for "Georgia Tech Career and Salary Survey."

To give you a general idea of the average starting salaries for Engineering and Computer Science majors, here are some figures from the most recent survey (keep in mind that these numbers might change slightly year to year):

- Computer Science: The average starting salary reported for CS majors was around $115,000, with a high of around $250,000, and a low of around $10,000.

- Mechanical Engineering: The average starting salary for ME majors was approximately $82,000, with a high of around $180,000 and a low of around $46,000.

- Electrical Engineering: The average starting salary for EE majors was about $80,000, with a high of around $135,000 and a low of around $33,000.

- Civil Engineering: The average starting salary for CE majors was around $72,000, with a high of around $107,000 and a low of around $64,000.

These figures represent just a few of the many majors at Georgia Tech. The Career and Salary Survey provides a more comprehensive look at all the majors offered, so I'd recommend checking the report out for more detailed information.

Keep in mind that starting salaries can vary based on the location of the job, the industry, and any negotiation between the employee and employer. Therefore, these figures should be used as general reference points rather than a guaranteed expectation. Good luck with your college search!
