Curious about La Roche University sports

So I'm a junior and I might be applying to La Roche University. I know it's a small school, but I'm really into sports and was wondering what their athletic program is like. If anyone has any experience or knowledge about La Roche sports, please let me know what you think!

La Roche University, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, does have a variety of sports programs as a member of the NCAA Division III. As a smaller school, the atmosphere might be a bit different from larger universities with D1 athletics, but you can still expect a competitive and engaging experience. Keep in mind that NCAA D3 schools do not offer athletic scholarships, so you'll need to rely on academic scholarships or other types of financial aid if needed.

La Roche University competes within the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), and their athletic teams are known as the Redhawks. The university offers several sports programs for both men and women. For men, there's baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, and soccer. For women, you'll find basketball, bowling, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball.

The La Roche athletics facilities include the Kerr Fitness & Sports Center, which features a gymnasium, fitness and weight rooms. The sports fields for baseball, soccer, and softball are all located near the campus.

To get a sense of the athletic program and team culture, it might be beneficial to attend a game or reach out to current student-athletes, coaches, or the athletic department. They could provide you with more insight and answer any specific questions you have about the programs. Additionally, considering your own athletic background and skill level, you can also inquire about tryout opportunities if you're looking to participate during your time at the university.

Overall, La Roche University does have sports offerings for a relatively small school, and if you're passionate about athletics, there should be opportunities for you to continue your involvement at the NCAA D3 level.
