Hi there! It's great that you're starting your college search early. When it comes to finding a good fit, there are several factors to consider. Academics should be a top priority, so make sure to research the programs and majors that interest you at each college. Don't forget to look at the faculty and their credentials, as well as research opportunities, internships, and study abroad programs. Location is another important aspect. Consider whether you'd prefer an urban, suburban, or rural setting, and how far you'd like to be from home. The campus community and social life can greatly affect your college experience. Look into the size of the student body, clubs and organizations, sports teams, and campus traditions. Financial factors should also be considered, such as tuition, financial aid packages, scholarships, and the cost of living in the area. Finally, it's essential to visit the colleges you're interested in, either in person or virtually, to get a feel for the campus atmosphere. When my child was going through this process, we made sure to visit as many schools as possible, attend open houses, and talk to current students. Remember, everyone's preferences are different, so take your time and trust your instincts. Best of luck with your search!
