Spelman College is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The campus is situated in the Atlanta University Center Consortium, which is a group of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in close proximity to one another. This area is near downtown Atlanta, and Spelman shares a neighborhood with the other prominent HBCUs in the consortium: Morehouse College, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Clark Atlanta University. Being in Atlanta offers students access to various cultural, professional, and recreational opportunities, which undoubtedly enriches their college experience.
