4. Western Michigan University: An up-and-coming program, WMU plays in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and has made several NCAA tournament appearances in recent years.

5. Ferris State University: Playing in the WCHA, Ferris State has had some deep runs in the NCAA tournament in recent years, including a national championship appearance.

6. Northern Michigan University: A solid Program in the WCHA, Northern Michigan has had success throughout its history, which includes winning a national championship.

Keep in mind that each program offers different amenities, campus vibes, and academic profiles. It's a good idea to consider academics and campus life as well, so you find a school that's a good fit for you overall, even when you're not at the rink cheering or playing yourself. I hope this information helps! Good luck with your college search!
