What can I do to strengthen my application as a junior?

Hello everyone! So, I'm currently a high school junior and I'm starting to seriously think about college applications. I have decent grades and test scores, but I'm worried about my application standing out. What are some things I can do during my junior year to make my application stronger? Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi there! It's great that you're already thinking about how to strengthen your college application. Based on my experience with my own child, there are several things you can do during your junior year to make your application stand out. First, try to get involved in extracurricular activities that you're truly passionate about. This will not only look good on your application, but also help you develop leadership skills and make lasting friendships. Second, consider taking on a part-time job or volunteering in your community. This will show colleges that you're responsible, hard-working, and committed to making a difference. Third, work on developing strong relationships with your teachers and school counselors. They'll be the ones writing your recommendation letters, so it's important to have a good rapport with them. Lastly, make sure to stay organized and keep track of important deadlines, such as test registration dates and college application due dates. Best of luck, and enjoy your junior year!
